Congratulations on reaching your final destination on the “Road to the Little Mo Nationals”! This year will mark the 20th Anniversary of the "Road to the Little Mo Nationals" which began in 1998 and we are so happy to celebrate this special milestone with you at the Austin Tennis Academy in the beautiful Texas hill country.
In preparing for the “Little Mo” Nationals, we just wanted to send you a friendly reminder about a few important items that you will need to know before the tournament:
Photos of Regional 1st place winners: Each year, we like to put the photos of the regional 1st place winners in the tournament program. If you won your division at the "Litle Mo" Regionals, please email a black and white photo (headshot) to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 15. Color is ok too but please no action shots or hats. A recent school photo is best.
Passport/Birth Certificate: Please email a copy of your player’s passport or a copy of their birth certificate to email@example.com by September 15. Information must be able to be read in English. A copy of your passport or birth certificate is mandatory to play in the tournament.
The Opening Ceremony and Player Parade are mandatory on Friday, September 29. Please wear all white for the Player Parade/Opening Ceremony and Group Photo. Also, please bring a small flag representing your state to carry in the player parade if you would like to cacrry it during the parade.
First Match Times/Draws: Matches will begin on Saturday morning, September 30 and should be completed no later than 5:00pm on Monday, October 2 – please book your flight, hotel, and rental car accordingly. The first match times will be posted on the tournament homepage on Tuesday afternoon, September 26. Draws be will be posted on the afternoon of September 29.
Player Gift Exchange: The "Little Mo" tradition continues at the Nationals with the very special gift exchange between players. Please bring a small wrapped gift ($5-$10) that represents your town or state to give to your first round opponent. Your opponent will most likely be from another state and they will remember the gift they receive for years to come. The gifts are exchanged before the players walk on court for their first match. This is a fun way for players meet a friend from the first day and it will be a special memory for both players.
If you have any other questions about the tournament, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org. There is also a Fact Sheet with a Schedule of Events located on the tournament homepage to help plan your travel.
We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones in Austin. Wishing you all the best and see you soon!
